ENACTED APRIL 7TH, 2020
THIS APPLIES TO THE U.S. ROCKY MTN. REGION’S NATIONAL
FORESTS AND GRASSLANDS
Prohibited Acts Include:
1. Igniting, building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, including charcoal grills and barbecues,
coal and wood burning stoves, and sheepherder’s stoves.
2. Smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle, trailer, or building.

Slash Pile Burn Season closed on March 27th, 2020 due to the Governor’s Stay at Home Order. A Burn Permit is REQUIRED before burning. Visit Department of Natural Resources for useful information on current open burning restrictions in Grand County.

Smoke Alarms Save Lives

Nearly one-third of residential fires and two-fifths of residential fatalities occur in homes with no smoke alarms. Put another way, having a working smoke alarm in the home reduces your chances of dying in a fire by nearly half. Carbon Monoxide Detector Offer For EGFP District Residents

East Grand Fire District has partnered with Fraser Valley Ace Hardware to purchase carbon monoxide detectors to be given to full-time residents of the Fire District. More information and the program application can be found on the?CO Detectors?page under?Fire Prevention.
